Skoda Octavia AC not cooling

Diving into this A/C issue on my 2023 Skoda Octavia Hybrid. Basically, the A/C system decided to take a vacation and isn't cooling anymore. No cold air whatsoever. I scanned it and got an error related to the A/C compressor. I'm suspecting undervoltage, but everything else seems to be running fine. I've checked the belt tensioner, seems okay. Anyone else run into something similar with their A/C system?

Whoa, that sounds frustrating! I had a similar thing happen in my old Peugeot, though it was a petrol engine. The A/C would just randomly cut out. Did you check the A/C system relay? Sometimes those get flaky.

Interesting. You think a relay switch could cause this intermittent issue even with a stored error? I was leaning towards a faulty pressure sensor messing with the A/C compressor directly. How did you figure out the relay was the problem on your Peugeot?

Yeah, the intermittent nature and stored error could point to a few things but on my Peugeot it was a faulty relay. The error was vague. Honestly I'd get it checked out by someone who knows what they are doing. Could save you a headache and misspent money on parts you don't need.

Took it to a local shop and they found undervoltage was indeed the culprit. Seems the A/C compressor shut off as a safety measure. They checked the pressure sensor and relay switch, all good. The final bill was around 240€, which included diagnosing the undervoltage and resetting everything. Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it!
