Skoda Octavia Climate Control Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Skoda Octavia owner experienced a malfunction with the climate control system, specifically the air conditioning not cooling. A potential cause identified was a faulty connection in the flap actuator, which is part of the HVAC system. The issue was resolved by a workshop, confirming the faulty connection and repairing it, restoring the AC functionality.

Where exactly is that flap actuator located? Is it something I can get to without taking half the car apart?

It's buried in the HVAC unit behind the dash. Think of it like this: your car's HVAC is like a lung, and the flap actuator is like the muscle that controls how much air you breathe in. If the connection is bad, the 'muscle' doesn't work. Honestly, unless you're comfortable pulling apart the dashboard, it's probably best left to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and replace any faulty wiring. Seems like you already know the cause, so the HVAC repair shouldn't be too expensive.

Thanks for the input. Took it to a shop, they found a faulty connection on the flap actuator. 95€ later and the AC is blowing cold again.

Sounds like a familiar story. I had a similar problem with my Octavia, though I can't remember the exact error code. The air circulation wasn't working properly, and the automatic climate control was acting up. Have you checked the flap actuator itself? Sometimes they get stuck or the connection gets loose.
