Skoda Octavia diesel cylinder pressure fluctuation

I'm at my wit's end My 2010 Skoda Octavia diesel is giving me grief I'm experiencing cylinder pressure fluctuation, leading to higher fuel consumption and a noticeable loss of engine power The check engine light is also on Could this be related to issues with the camshaft, crankshaft, head gasket or perhaps the intake manifold I suspect it's a consequential error resulting from another error, but where should I even begin

I had something similar with my Octavia Have you checked the turbocharger hoses for leaks or damage A faulty turbo can cause pressure fluctuations and affect fuel consumption

Interesting Was the turbocharger the main culprit in your case Did you also experience the check engine light

Yes, the turbo was the issue The hose had a small crack The check engine light was on as well I would advise getting it checked out at a workshop They should be able to pinpoint the issue quickly It ended up being a minor fix, costing me 0€
