Skoda Octavia Diesel Fuel Filter Heater Issue

My Skoda Octavia, build year 2016, Diesel engine, is throwing a fuel filter heater error. I'm getting reduced engine power, the engine response is terrible, fuel consumption is up, and the idle is rough. Error memory shows a defective cable or plug. Has anyone seen this before?

I had a similar issue with my Octavia. I noticed a power loss, especially on cold starts. Have you checked the fuel system? It could be related.

The power loss is driving me nuts! Did your engine stall, and what did you do to fix it?

I never had the engine stalling, but power loss and poor engine response were definite symptoms. Given the error code, it might be worth checking all the connections to the fuel filter heater first. If you aren't comfortable doing it yourself, a workshop is probably the safest bet.

Thanks for the help! The workshop visit confirmed a bad connection on the fuel filter heater. They cleaned it and replaced the filter for 95€, and it runs great now.
