Skoda Octavia Hybrid Blower Failure
Summary of the thread
The Skoda Octavia Hybrid's fresh air blower stopped working, with an error stored in the memory, suggesting a defective blower motor. Possible causes include a faulty blower motor or issues with the fan speed controller, electrical wiring, or connections. It was recommended to inspect the wiring and use a multimeter for further diagnosis. Ultimately, the blower motor was confirmed faulty and replaced, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! Electrical wiring and connections is a good point. Do you recall what the fix was on your Insignia?

In my case, the blower motor was indeed the issue. Given the error memory storing a fault code, it is highly probable that the blower motor is defective. While it may be possible to diagnose further with a multimeter to verify voltage at the blower motor connector, I would recommend consulting a qualified technician for proper diagnosis and repair.

Turns out the blower motor was indeed faulty. I had it replaced at the workshop for 365€. Everything's working as it should now.

I appreciate you reaching out. I encountered a similar problem with my Opel Insignia a few years back. The symptoms you described suggest a defective blower motor or potentially an issue with the fan speed controller. Have you inspected the electrical wiring and connections leading to the blower motor? A loose connection or damaged wire could also be the cause.
