Skoda Octavia Hybrid Engine Issue

I'm experiencing issues with my 2022 Skoda Octavia Hybrid. The engine light is on, and the car suffers from reduced power, poor engine response, and higher fuel consumption. Diagnostics point towards a 'crankshaft to camshaft reference value' issue. I suspect a defective crankshaft sensor. Any insights?

Reduced engine power and the engine light? Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Volvo, but it was the camshaft sensor throwing off the reference value. Have you checked the timing belt?

Timing belt seems fine. But the camshaft sensor on your Volvo... Did it also cause misfire errors?

Misfires, yes, that too. In my case, it was a faulty signal messing with the engine timing. If the diagnostics point to the crankshaft sensor, it's probably a good idea to get it checked professionally at a workshop.

It was the crankshaft sensor after all. Replacement cost 340€. The car's running smoothly now. Thanks for the input.
