Skoda Octavia Hybrid Engine Troubles

I'm officially losing it! My 2020 Skoda Octavia hybrid is giving me grief. The check engine light is on, engine power is way down, and the response is just terrible. Fuel consumption has gone through the roof too! It's done 170315 km. I suspect it's something to do with boost pressure control but I'm clueless where to start. Could it be a defect in a vacuum switching valve or something related to the intake manifold?

Sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Octavia. Check for a vacuum leak, especially around the boost solenoid and bypass valve. It could be that simple.

Vacuum leak, huh? Where exactly should I be looking? Is it something I can check myself without special tools?

Yeah, I had almost the exact same symptoms. Reduced engine performance, poor response... It turned out to be a faulty vacuum switching valve. I'd recommend getting it checked professionally; they can properly diagnose the vacuum system.

Thanks a million for sharing your experience! It really helped. I took it to a local garage, and they confirmed it was the vacuum switching valve. Cost me 140€ all in. It runs like a dream now!
