Skoda Octavia Suspension Problem

I am writing to report a suspension issue with my 2005 Skoda Octavia with a gasoline engine. Recently, the vehicle has developed a problem where it can no longer lift, resulting in a noticeable leaning. Additionally, an error message is displayed in the speedometer, and the ride quality has deteriorated significantly, becoming quite bumpy. The error memory also indicates a fault. Based on my initial assessment, I suspect a defective suspension air bag valve. Has anyone else experienced similar issues?

I am sorry to hear about your Skoda Octavia suspension issue. I had a similar problem with my older Audi A6, although it was a different brand. The symptoms you describe, such as the vehicle leaning, the error message, and the bumpy ride, sound very familiar. Has the shock absorber been inspected?

Thank you for your input. Regarding the shock absorber inspection, can you please elaborate on what was specifically checked on your Audi A6 and what the outcome was?

In my case, the issue was also related to a defective valve in the air suspension system, which caused suspension failure. If you are getting error messages and experiencing a loss of ride height, it is very likely that the valve is the culprit. Given the symptoms, I would suggest consulting a qualified workshop for a thorough diagnosis and repair.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I took the car to a workshop, and it turned out that the suspension air bag valve was indeed defective. The repair cost came to approximately 590€. The issue is now resolved.
