Skoda Octavia VRS Diesel: Check Engine Light and Power Loss Issues

Hello everyone, I own a 2017 Skoda Octavia VRS with a Diesel engine and 108 km on the clock. I've been experiencing some issues: the check engine light is on, the engine runs unsteadily, and there's a noticeable loss of power. The error code is P032200. I've already replaced the camshaft sensor, but the problem persists. The engine cuts off unexpectedly and jerks quite often. Has anyone else encountered similar issues or have any tips on how to resolve this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Summary of the thread

A 2017 Skoda Octavia VRS Diesel owner is experiencing issues with the check engine light, unsteady engine performance, and power loss, with error code P032200. Despite replacing the camshaft sensor, the problem persists. A suggestion was made to inspect the knock sensor and its wiring, as a faulty knock sensor could cause these symptoms. The owner plans to replace the crankshaft sensor next, as the wiring appears to be intact.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

The error code P032200 typically relates to a knock sensor issue. Since you've already replaced the camshaft sensor, I recommend checking the knock sensor and its wiring for any damage or loose connections. A faulty knock sensor can cause the symptoms you're experiencing. If the wiring and connections seem fine, consider testing the sensor itself or replacing it. Let me know how it goes or if you have any further questions!

I will change the crankshaft sensor today and see if it sorts any problem out on the phone called it does say it either camshaft or crankshaft so since I put a genuine camshaft sensor. I’m gonna change the crankshaft. I have checked the wiring. I’m in the mechanical check the wiring it all seems fine.

Before replacing the crankshaft sensor, ensure that the sensor's connector is clean and securely attached. Sometimes, a simple cleaning and re-securing can resolve the issue. If the problem persists after replacing the sensor, please update us on the situation. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!
