Skoda Praktik Gasoline Engine Misfires

Thank you for your insight. I did inspect the spark plugs and ignition coils, and they appear to be in good condition. Given the symptoms, especially the jerking during acceleration and reduced engine power, could a defective injector be the culprit? Is there a way to confirm this without specialized equipment?

Think of it like this: if one of the chefs isn't putting the right amount of seasoning in the soup (fuel), the whole dish (engine) suffers. Given you've ruled out the usual suspects, a faulty injector is a strong possibility. Accurately diagnosing injectors usually needs specialized equipment. I'd advise getting it checked at a reputable workshop. Don't keep driving it, or you risk damaging the catalytic converter.

I appreciate you sharing your experience. Your analogy was spot on. I took it to a trusted workshop, and they confirmed it was indeed a faulty injector. After replacing the injector, the combustion misfires disappeared, the check engine light is now off, and the engine runs smoothly again. The total cost was 515€, but it was worth it to have the Praktik running like new.

Combustion misfires can be tricky. I experienced something similar with my old Opel Corsa. Rough engine running and the check engine light were the main symptoms. Have you checked the spark plugs and ignition coils? Those are usually the first suspects.
