Skoda Praktik washer heater problem

My 2009 Skoda Praktik with a gasoline engine has an issue with the windshield washer heater. Despite low mileage, it's throwing an error and the spray nozzles freeze at cold temperatures. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. It's a nuisance during winter driving, especially with the windshield wipers struggling. Any ideas?

Frozen spray nozzles are a pain, especially in winter driving. Have you checked the fuse for the windshield heater? A blown fuse could cause a heater malfunction and store an error.

I hadn't considered the fuse. Where is the fuse located and what amperage should it be?

Fuse location should be in your owner's manual, or a diagram is often printed on the fuse box cover itself. However, given you suspect a cable or plug and there's a stored error, it might be more than just a fuse. A faulty heater will definitely lead to clogged nozzles. Consider having a workshop take a look to avoid further heater malfunction.

The fault was the cable to the windshield washer heater. The workshop charged 95€ to replace it. Now the windshield heater works again and hopefully I'll have no more clogged nozzles this winter. Thanks for your input.
