A battery issue, you say? Interesting... Now that you mention it, I did have to jump-start it a couple of weeks ago after leaving the lights on. How would I check if the security alarm is linked to the indicators?

Yeah, the low voltage probably messed with the coding. Honestly, checking it yourself might be tricky without the right tools. I'd suggest a workshop visit. Mention the possibility of the alarm being coded to activate the optical locking; that's what fixed it for me.

Thank you so much for your help. It turns out you were spot on! I took it to a local workshop, and they found the alarm system was indeed coded to activate the optical locking. They recoded it, and the error is gone. Cost me 45€, but at least the darned thing is working now. Really appreciate you sharing your experience!

Sounds frustrating! I had something similar happen with my Rapid. Was it after maybe a battery issue or power failure perhaps? The car alarm would just randomly go off, or sometimes not work at all. Check if your security alarm system is somehow linked to the indicator lights when locking.
