Skoda Rapid NOx Sensor Issue

I have a 2010 Skoda Rapid with a gasoline engine and about 194962 km on the clock. The check engine light is on, and the error memory indicates a faulty NOx sensor. I also noticed exhaust leaking. Could a defective cable or plug connection really be the cause, impacting the catalytic converter and pollution control system?

I had a similar problem with my Skoda Rapid. The check engine light was also on, and the error memory pointed to the NOx sensor. Did you check the sensor's cable and plug connection?

Yes, I checked the cable. Where exactly was the defect in your case? What did you have to do?

In my case, the connection to the NOx sensor was corroded. I suggest taking it to a workshop. They can check the exhaust system and the diesel engine to make sure everything is in good working order.

Thank you for the input. It turned out to be a defective plug connection as suspected. The repair cost around 95€.
