Skoda Rapid Seat Heater Problem

Hi, my Skoda Rapid (2016, diesel) has a defective seat heater. It doesn't get warm at all and there's an error stored. I'm suspecting the heating mat itself. Has anyone else experienced this?

Seat heater failure is a common problem. Does the error memory specifically point to the heating element? I had a similar issue with my Rapid; turned out to be a break in the seat cushion heating element.

Interesting. When you say 'similar issue', was your seat heater completely dead too?

Indeed. The seat warmer was completely non-functional. Was the same diagnosis: faulty heating element. Is there any other reason why it would not heat up if the heating element is good? Seems like you'll need a heating repair.

Thanks for confirming that, I suspected as much. Dropped it off at the shop this morning, they confirmed the heating element is faulty. Quoted 390€ for the heating repair. Ouch!
