Interesting. I hadn't thought about the oil level. Where did you check it on your Opel? Was it a dipstick, or something else? I'm hesitant to poke around without guidance.

On the Opel, it was low oil. I didn't check it myself; I took it to a workshop. They diagnosed it quickly. With the slipping, grinding, and emergency mode, a professional is best. It might be the oil level, but it's better to be safe. Transmission repairs can be expensive.

Alright, I got my Skoda back. The transmission oil was critically low, causing overheating and triggering the sensor fault. They topped it off, replaced the sensor, and reset the codes. It cost 365€. Thanks for the help; I appreciate it.

That sounds familiar! I had similar transmission issues with my old Opel. The gearbox kept going into limp mode, throwing up errors. Have you checked the transmission fluid level? That fixed it for me.
