Skoda Roomster Air Conditioning Problem

My 2008 Skoda Roomster with a diesel engine is giving me fits. The air conditioning is blowing warm, and the system diagnostics shows an error related to the rear ventilation flap. Car HVAC system is essentially non-functional. Is it likely the cable or plug connection of the component defective?

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same issue in my Roomster. Is the climate control automatic? If so, have you checked the rear ventilation flap motor?

Automatic climate, yes. Where exactly is that flap motor located and how involved is it to get to? Does it require special system diagnostics?

Yep, it's a common issue. The motor is buried in the rear console area. Honestly, I'd suggest a workshop. They can pinpoint the exact wiring issue and you'll save yourself a headache trying to wrestle with the trim.

You nailed it! The shop found a faulty connection on the rear vent flap. 95€ later and the car HVAC is back to normal. Thanks!
