Skoda Roomster Audio System Failure

I'm having a major headache with the audio in my 2008 Skoda Roomster with a gasoline engine. The mileage is at 220277 km. Basically, the audio system is completely dead no sound whatsoever. I've tried everything I can think of, but it's just complete radio silence. I was thinking maybe it's a Bluetooth issue, but nothing is working, not even the regular radio. Could a defective bass speaker really cause the whole system to shut down like this? I'm at a loss here; the sound quality was fine before, but now it's just gone.

Radio silence, huh? I had something similar happen in my Skoda Roomster. Have you checked the fuses? It could be a simple fix. Does the volume control even show anything on the display, or is it completely dead?

Fuses seem fine, and the display is working perfectly; it's just that there's absolutely no sound coming from any of the car speakers. Your Roomster had the same total lack of audio, even with the volume turned up?

Yep, total silence. Drove me nuts for a week. In my case, it ended up being something with the car speakers themselves. Since you've checked the fuses, I'd say take it to someone who knows their stuff. Could be a deeper electrical issue. I hope it won't cost you too much!

Thanks a lot for the info! I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was indeed a defective bass speaker. Cost me around 280€ to get it fixed, but at least the radio silence is over. Now I can crank up the volume without any worries!
