Skoda Roomster Emergency Call System Error

My 2007 Skoda Roomster, diesel engine, with 51158 km, is showing an error with the emergency call system. The error's stored, the message appears in the speedometer, and the warning light's on. I think it's a bad cable or plug. Has anyone seen this before? It's a safety issue, so I want to fix it soon.

Summary of the thread

A 2007 Skoda Roomster displayed an error with the emergency call system, indicated by a message on the speedometer and a warning light. The issue was suspected to be caused by a bad cable or plug. A similar problem in another vehicle was linked to a telematics module issue, suggesting checking connections to this unit. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by fixing a faulty connector, eliminating the error.

I remember a similar problem with the emergency call system on my old Vauxhall Corsa. The diagnostic codes were pointing to a telematics module issue, I think. Check the connections to the telematics unit, but I can't promise it'll fix it.

Do you remember the diagnostic codes? And where's the telematics unit in the Corsa? It might help me find it on the Roomster.

I don't remember the codes, sorry. In the Corsa, the unit was behind the glove compartment, but I don't know about your car. Since it's a safety issue, take it to a workshop.

Solved it. It was a faulty connector, like I thought. 95€ later, the error disappeared. Thanks for the advice!
