Skoda Roomster Engine Stalling Issue

Alright, I need some advice. My 2009 Skoda Roomster with a gasoline engine is giving me headaches. The check engine light keeps popping up, and sometimes the engine stalls when I'm idling. Also, I feel like the car doesn't have as much power as it used to. I scanned the car and it shows a fault with the rail pressure sensor signal. I'm thinking it's probably a defective pressure sensor. Has anyone experienced this before?

That sounds like a dodgy fuel rail pressure sensor. I had a similar issue with my old Seat a few years back. The check engine light would come on and the engine would sometimes stall. Does it happen more when the engine is cold or hot? Have you tried checking the wiring to the sensor to see if there's any damage or loose connections?

Thanks for the quick reply! It seems to happen more when the engine is warm, especially after it's been idling for a bit. I haven't checked the wiring yet – where exactly is the fuel rail pressure sensor located?

Okay, warm engine stalling points even more towards the fuel rail pressure sensor. Honestly, finding the exact location can be tricky without a manual. Since you're getting a sensor signal fault and experiencing these symptoms, it's best to get it checked out by a professional. A faulty sensor can mess with the fuel injection and potentially cause more damage. Better safe than sorry, I reckon.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local shop, and they confirmed it was the rail pressure sensor. They replaced it, and it cost me about 240€. The car is running perfectly again. I appreciate your help!
