Skoda Roomster knocking combustion issue

My 2013 Skoda Roomster with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. At 93636 km, I'm experiencing what I believe is knocking combustion. Symptoms include reduced engine power, jerking when accelerating, and some smoke. There's also an error stored in the error memory. Could this be combustion chamber deposits?

Reduced engine power and jerking? Sounds familiar! Did you check your fuel octane? I had a similar problem with my Roomster a while back. Could it be pre-ignition?

Pre-ignition, huh? Interesting. What did you do to fix it? Did you get any error codes related to the knock sensor or ignition timing?

Yeah, that's what it was. I didn't mess with it myself. Took it straight to the workshop. They sorted it out. Best not to risk damaging the engine further, right?

Thanks for sharing your experience. I ended up taking it to a mechanic. They found significant deposits in the combustion chamber. After cleaning and a fuel additive, it's running much better. Total cost 425€.
