Skoda Roomster oxygen sensor issue

I am experiencing an issue with my Skoda Roomster diesel built in . The car has approximately km. The check engine light is on, and the error memory indicates a problem with the oxygen sensor. I have also observed higher fuel consumption. Could a defective cable or plug connection to the O2 sensor be the likely cause, affecting the air-fuel ratio and the exhaust system?

Sounds like the O2 sensor issue! I had something similar with my Roomster. Check engine light on, fuel consumption went up. Is it running rough?

It is not running rough. You mentioned a similar issue with your Roomster. Was it also related to the oxygen sensor? And if so, what was the eventual fix?

Yep, O2 sensor was the problem. The garage found a dodgy connection on mine. They suggested replacing the sensor rather than just patching the cable. Might be worth getting yours checked out at a workshop.

The O2 sensor cable was the problem. The workshop confirmed a defective plug connection. The sensor was replaced and the error memory cleared. Total cost was 95€. Fuel consumption seems normal now.
