Skoda Scala Cylinder Pressure Issue

I'm getting cylinder pressure fluctuation errors on my 2019 Skoda Scala diesel with 52186 km on the clock. Check engine light is on, and I'm noticing higher fuel consumption and reduced engine power. I suspect it might be a consequential error. Has anyone else experienced something like this? I'm trying to avoid unnecessary repairs to the crankshaft or piston rings.

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my Skoda Scala. Check engine light, rough idle... It was terrifying. Was the fuel consumption noticeably higher? Have you checked the spark plug?

Higher fuel consumption, yes. Reduced power, definitely. Spark plug looks normal. What was the cause in your case? And did you see any issues with the turbocharger or camshaft?

It did end up being a sensor issue throwing off the readings. It mimicked cylinder pressure problems perfectly. I'd recommend having a workshop run a diagnostic to confirm. Saved me a lot of money and stress.

It turned out to be a faulty sensor causing the misreading. No actual cylinder pressure issue. Zero euros spent, thankfully!
