Skoda Scala Diesel Fuel Flap Issue

I'm having a weird issue with my 2020 Skoda Scala diesel. The fuel flap release isn't working. I get an error message, and I can't lock or unlock the fuel door. Some other functions seem to be affected too. Could this be a defective linkage? I have tried the release button and the key fob, and neither works. Any ideas what could be causing this?

That's frustrating. Does the central locking still work? Have you checked the fuse box? There should be a fuse for the central locking system and fuel door release. It's worth a look before tearing things apart or taking it to a mechanic.

Thanks for the suggestion. Where is the fuse box located, and which fuse controls the fuel door? Also, if the key fob isn't working, would that also be a fuse issue?

Finding the exact fuse can be tricky; check your owner's manual for the fuse box diagram. It should indicate which fuse is for the central locking or fuel door release. If the key fob and the release button aren't working, it points to an electrical fault or a problem with the release mechanism itself, or even the linkage. It sounds like it's time to get it checked out by a professional to avoid causing more damage.

Took the Scala to the workshop. The linkage was defective. The total cost was 210€, including parts and labor. The fuel door is working again. Thanks for the help.
