Skoda Scala Diesel Overvoltage Errors
Summary of the thread
The 2020 Skoda Scala diesel is experiencing overvoltage errors, with multiple fault memory entries and system failures, possibly due to a weak battery. The issue is suspected to be alternator failure, specifically a faulty voltage regulator causing power surges. The recommended solution is to measure the alternator output and have it checked professionally, as confirmed by a similar case where the alternator was indeed the problem, leading to necessary repairs.

I haven't checked the alternator output myself. Where did you measure the voltage? And was it also alternator failure in your case?

I measured at the battery terminals with a multimeter when the engine was running. Yes, it was indeed the alternator. The voltage regulator went bad, causing a power surge and triggering the overvoltage detection. I'd recommend getting it checked professionally.

Alternator failure it was. Voltage regulator seemed to have given up. Circuit protection did its job I guess, but not before frying some systems. Battery was also heavily discharged, presumably due to the faulty alternator. Repair cost 290€. Now all sorted.

Sounds familiar. I had similar electrical gremlins in my Scala. Lots of seemingly unrelated errors popping up. Did you check the alternator output? What voltage is the system running at when the engine is on?
