Skoda Scala Electrical Issues

The error is pretty consistent, shows up almost every time I start the car. Start-stop hasn't worked in ages, I just assumed it was the cold weather. Could a weak auxiliary battery really cause all these problems?

Yes, a failing auxiliary battery can absolutely cause those symptoms in a Scala. It often handles the start-stop system and other electrical loads. Given the consistent error and start-stop malfunction, I'd say it's highly likely. I recommend having it checked at a workshop; battery failure can lead to unexpected problems.

Thanks for the insights, I appreciate it! Took it to the shop, and you were right. They confirmed it was indeed the auxiliary battery not charging properly. New battery and diagnostics later, all in cost me 290€. Runs like a charm now.

Sounds like a power management issue, possibly related to the auxiliary battery not charging as you suspect. Does the error message consistently appear, or is it intermittent? Have you noticed any other electrical quirks, like the start-stop system not functioning?
