Skoda Scala fuel gauge and engine stalling issue

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2020 Skoda Scala with a gasoline engine. The fuel gauge is malfunctioning, and the check engine light is now illuminated. Also, the engine stalls at idle. I suspect it's a sensor fault. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

That sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Scala; the fuel gauge was acting erratically, and the car sensor kept throwing errors. Is the check engine light illuminated? Mine was. It could be a faulty fuel sensor or something interfering with the car dashboard readings. Have you checked the basic components, such as a fuse related to the fuel system?

Yes, the check engine light is on. Where is the fuse for the fuel sensor located? Would a defective fuse really cause the engine to stall at idle? That seems unusual.

If the engine is also stalling, that supports the fuse theory. I had the same symptoms. As for the fuse location, check your car's manual; it should be listed there. If the fuse is blown, replace it, but if it blows again immediately, there's likely a short circuit. If you are not comfortable with this, take it to a workshop. They will easily locate the sensor fault.

It was exactly as you described. The workshop checked the fuel sensor and found an error stored in the memory. They replaced the fuse, and now the fuel gauge is working perfectly. The entire repair cost 52€. Thanks for the assistance.
