Skoda Scala Smartphone Connectivity Issue

Alright, I've got a head scratcher here. My 2021 Skoda Scala with a gasoline engine is playing up. I've got 170485 km on the clock and the smartphone connectivity is completely dead. Won't connect at all. The diagnostics are showing an error stored in the error memory. They reckon it's an incorrect pairing with the end device, but I've tried everything. Anyone seen this before?

Hi there. I had a similar problem with my Skoda Scala and the smartphone connection dropping out all the time. It was quite frustrating. Is your ignition system working as expected and have you noticed any issues with the engine light, brakes or steering? I ask because electrical faults can sometimes manifest in weird ways.

Thanks for the quick reply. The ignition system seems fine, and I haven't noticed anything wrong with the engine light, brakes, or steering. Did yours throw up any error codes? The garage mentioned something about incorrect pairing.

Yes, it sounds very similar. I also got the incorrect pairing error. I wouldn't worry too much. In my opinion it’s probably best to get it checked out by a workshop. They should be able to sort it quickly.

Thanks for the help, I appreciate it. Turns out it was just a dodgy connection as suspected. The garage sorted it with a reset. Cost me 45€ so not too bad.
