Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Scala. Check the radiator grille; could be a blockage. Are you seeing any loss of coolant?

Interesting! Where exactly should I be looking for this blockage? And no, the coolant level seems fine. Could it still be the radiator grille even without coolant loss?

Yes, definitely check the radiator grille first. Even without coolant loss, a blockage there can cause serious car overheating problems. If it's not that, it could be a faulty sensor, but given the symptoms, I would advise to bring it to a workshop

Huge thanks for the help! Turns out it was a defective fuse related to the cooling grille. Cost me 52€ to get it sorted. What a relief!
