Skoda Scala Wiper Problem

I am experiencing an issue with the windshield wipers on my 2023 Skoda Scala with a gasoline engine. The wipers are completely non-functional. The vehicle has 182147 km. Diagnostic scan shows an error related to the wiper switch. Preliminary assessment suggests a defective cable or plug connection. The Scala also features cruise control and a rain sensor so I suspect the problem is connected to the turn signal/wiper motor.

Experienced similar wiper issues on my old Volvo V70. Have you checked the wiring harness where it passes from the body to the tailgate? Those wires can fatigue and break, causing intermittent or complete failures.

Thanks for the suggestion. Where exactly should I be looking for this wiring harness? Is it easily accessible, or will I need to remove interior panels?

On the Volvo, it was hidden behind a trim panel near the top of the tailgate opening. It's likely similar on the Scala. However, given the error code and your initial assessment, it might be best to take it to a workshop and get it checked.

Appreciate the insight. Took it to the workshop, and as suspected, a defective wiring harness was the culprit. Cost me 95€ to resolve.
