Skoda Superb Air Suspension Problems

Alright, I'm pulling my hair out here. My 2001 Skoda Superb, gasoline engine, with 150k on the clock is giving me grief. The air suspension is completely shot. It won't lift, the car is leaning like crazy, and I've got warning lights all over the dash. Error's stored in the memory and now my low beams are all messed up. I'm thinking it's compressor failure, or a malfunction somewhere in the suspension system, or load leveling system since the error message popped up in the speedometer. I read somewhere it could be a cable or plug connection? Anyone had similar issues before?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Skoda Octavia a while back. The air suspension went haywire. When you say leaning, do you mean one side was noticeably lower than the other? It could be a leak in the air struts themselves, or the compressor just isn't pumping enough air. Have you checked the fuse for the compressor? That's the easiest thing to rule out first.

Yeah, the left side was sagging pretty bad. I suspected a leak, but couldn't find any obvious signs. You mentioned the compressor not pumping enough air. Was that the problem you had, or was it the struts in your case?

Okay, so the leaning is a strong indicator. Mine was similar, though not quite as dramatic. I initially thought it was the air struts, but it turned out the compressor was on its way out. Air struts are basically the shock absorbers filled with air instead of oil, part of the suspension system. If the compressor isn't working right, it can't maintain the pressure. Best bet is to get it hooked up to a proper diagnostic machine to pinpoint the fault. A workshop will be able to tell you for sure if it's the compressor, the struts, or something else entirely.

Big thanks for sharing! Turns out it was a dodgy connector, just like you suspected. 95€ later and the Superb is back on all fours. Appreciate the help!
