Interesting. When you say similar, was it exactly the same symptoms? What was the actual faulty component in your case?

Yeah, same symptoms: no sound, dead nav. I didn't poke around myself much; car electronics are black magic to me. I took it straight to a workshop. They ran diagnostics and found a module on the bus network was kaput. That MOST bus thing you mentioned. I'd suggest getting it professionally diagnosed.

It was indeed a faulty module on the MOST bus. Cost me about 1000€ to diagnose and replace. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Skoda Superb. No sound, the nav system was dead, and it turned out to be related to the car's electronics. Did you check the fuses?
