Skoda Superb Fuel Flap Release Problem

I had a similar issue with my Skoda Octavia. I remember the fuel door wouldn't open, and I suspected the release mechanism was stuck. Did you check the fuse box? There might be a fuse specifically for the electric actuator controlling the fuel door. It's a quick and easy thing to check before diving deeper.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll check the fuse box immediately. Was your error message identical? Did other functions fail as well? I am trying to understand if the root cause is the same. Was it definitely the electric actuator?

Yes, the symptoms sound very familiar, although I didn't have the error message read back then. I didn't delve into the electric actuator myself. Eventually, I had to take it to the workshop. They confirmed it was a problem with the lock actuator and the release mechanism. I'd recommend doing the same, especially if other functions are failing. It might be a more complex electrical issue.

Just picked up the car from the shop. They verified the lock actuator was faulty and replaced the entire release mechanism. Cost 210€ including parts and labor. The fuel door now works perfectly, and all the error messages are gone. Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.
