Thank you for your response. Regarding your questions, how exactly can I check the refrigerant levels and whether the compressor engages without specialized tools?

Yeah, checking refrigerant and compressor engagement properly needs gauges and some know-how. Given it's pointing at the flap actuator and the climate control is acting up, it’s probably best to get it checked by someone with the right equipment. Sounds like it’s more than just a quick fix. Could be the flap actuator itself, or as they say, a wiring issue. Either way, time for the shop.

Many thanks for the input. The diagnostic pointed towards a defective flap actuator. The cable and plug connections were indeed the source of the problem. Repair cost was 95€.

Rear ventilation flap, huh? Is the air con completely dead or just not cooling as well as it should? Have you checked the basic stuff like refrigerant levels or if the compressor is actually kicking in? It sounds like a pain, but sometimes it's the simple things.
