Skoda Superb Hybrid Headlight Range Control Fault

I've got a bit of a headache with my 2020 Skoda Superb hybrid. The car has 109078 km on it. I'm getting a headlight range control fault. The error is stored in the error memory, and there's a warning light on the speedometer. The low beam is shining way too low or high. I'm suspecting a defective servomotor in the headlight, but I wanted a second opinion before I start spending money.

Headlight range control issues are the worst! Had something similar happen on my old Octavia. First thing, did you check the headlight switch itself? Sometimes a faulty switch can cause weird lighting system problems. Also, are your adaptive headlights working properly? Can you see them move when you start the car?

I did check the headlight switch, seems fine. As for the adaptive headlights, I'm not really sure. How would I check that properly? Is there a specific test?

Okay, if the switch is good, and you're unsure about the adaptive headlights, it's likely the servomotor. When they go bad, the auto-leveling goes haywire. Honestly, with those symptoms, it's best to get it checked out by a workshop. They can pinpoint the exact problem with the lighting system and beam adjustment.

Took it to the shop and they confirmed it's the servomotor in the headlight, just like you suspected. Cost me 1040€ to get it fixed. Thanks for the help!
