Skoda Superb Hybrid Washer Fluid Issue

Need some help with a weird issue on my 2020 Skoda Superb Hybrid. The 'washer fluid low' warning light popped up on the dashboard, even though the reservoir is full. Now the windshield wiper system doesn't work at all. I've checked the obvious – made sure the fluid is topped up. Error memory says there is an error stored. Any ideas what could be causing this before I take it to a workshop?

I had a similar issue with my Superb not too long ago. The dashboard light was on, and the washer fluid wasn't spraying. First, double-check the basics, even if it seems obvious. Is the washer fluid reservoir actually full? Sometimes the sensor can be a bit finicky. Also, can you hear the washer motor when you try to use the wipers?

Thanks for the quick response! The reservoir is definitely full; I topped it up myself. As for the motor, I can't hear anything when I try to use the wipers. It's usually quite audible. Could it really be the washer motor, even with the 'washer fluid low' warning?

Yep, sounds very similar to what I experienced. The 'washer fluid low' warning can sometimes be a symptom of a failing washer motor. The sensor might be detecting an issue with the pump rather than the fluid level directly. Given that you can't hear the motor, it's highly likely that's the culprit. You could try checking the fuse for the wiper system, but based on what you've described, I'd say it's probably the motor itself. Might be worth a trip to the workshop to confirm.

Just to let you know, it was exactly what you thought. The washer motor was dead. Replaced it, and the warning light is gone, wiper system is working again. Motor was about 25€ . Thanks again for your help!
