Vehicle diagnostics, you say? I'm not really a car expert, so I don't have any fancy tools for that. Is there any way to check this exhaust system thingamajigger without proper equipment? Is it like checking the tire pressure or something?

Without diagnostics, it's difficult to pinpoint the exact problem. Think of it like trying to diagnose a computer issue without seeing the error message. Given your symptoms and mileage, a failing exhaust back pressure sensor is plausible. Given that your car is a 2023 model and probably still under warranty, I'd strongly advise taking it to a workshop.

You were spot on with your diagnosis! I took my Skoda Superb to the shop, and they confirmed it was the exhaust back pressure sensor. They replaced it for 245€, and now the warning light is gone, and the smoke is gone. Thanks a million for the help. I really appreciate it!

Hybrid, huh? Interesting. A faulty exhaust back pressure sensor could be the culprit, especially with those symptoms. Have you tried any vehicle diagnostics to confirm the error code? Without that, we're just guessing.
