Skoda Yeti Key Fob Battery Issue

Skoda Yeti, 2017 diesel, 169865 km. Getting a 'key battery low' warning. Keyless access is dead. Unlocking is dodgy. Error stored. Reckon it's just the key battery?

I had a similar issue with my BMW a while back. "Key battery low" warning, keyless go stopped working. Have you checked the battery voltage with a multimeter? Could be a low voltage issue.

Multimeter? Where do I even start? Is it a special kind of auto key battery?

Yep, it's probably just a standard CR2032 or similar. But if you're not comfortable with a multimeter, best bet is to get it checked at a workshop. They can confirm the issue and replace the key battery.

Cheers for the info. It was indeed just a low battery in the key fob. New one cost 37€. Keyless entry is working again.
