Skoda Yeti Multifunction Steering Wheel Problem

I have a problem with my Skoda Yeti, built in 2012, diesel engine, mileage 185200 km. The operation of the multifunction steering wheel is no longer possible. An error is also stored in the error memory. I suspect a defective cable connection in the steering wheel. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Summary of the thread

A Skoda Yeti owner reported that the multifunction steering wheel stopped working, with an error stored in the memory. The suspected cause was a defective cable connection in the steering wheel. After consulting with others who had similar issues, it was confirmed that a faulty connection in the steering wheel was the problem. The issue was resolved at a workshop with a repair.

Sounds like the sensor issue I had with my Peugeot. Are all the steering controls affected, or just some of them?

Yes, exactly all of them. So it's likely a sensor issue or something with the steering column?

In my case it was a faulty connection in the steering wheel itself, like a short circuit that knocked everything out. If all the steering controls are dead, it's probably not just a single button. It's best to have it checked out at a workshop.

Many thanks for the assistance. I had it checked at the workshop and it was indeed a defective cable connection in the steering wheel. The repair cost 95€.
