Skoda Yeti outside temperature sensor issue

That's interesting. Where exactly did you experience the corrosion? Was it right at the sensor plug, or further up the harness? I've already had a quick look, but didn't spot anything obvious. The wiring looks okay at first glance, but I might have missed something. Any specific areas I should be focusing on?

Yes, in my case, it was a broken wire within the harness itself, roughly 10cm away from the vehicle temperature sensor plug. Visually, the insulation looked fine, but wiggling the wire revealed the break. Given the symptoms you mentioned I would advise you to visit a workshop. They will find the problem faster for sure!

Just wanted to let you know: you were spot on. After checking the wiring based on your suggestion and finding nothing obvious, I decided to go to a workshop. Turns out it was indeed a broken wire in the harness near the sensor, just as you suspected. 95€ later and everything is working perfectly again! Air conditioning is blasting cold air, and the mirror heating works again. Thanks a lot for your help!

I'm driving a Skoda Yeti as well, and I've experienced a similar issue not too long ago. The symptoms you're describing sound awfully familiar. Given the age of our vehicles, have you checked the wiring harness and connector leading to the outside vehicle temperature sensor? Sometimes the insulation cracks, leading to corrosion and intermittent connection. It's like a Christmas tree light, one goes out and the whole string is affected.
