SLC Washer Fluid Warning Light Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Mercedes SLC Diesel displayed a "washer fluid low" warning despite the fluid level appearing adequate, and the system was non-functional. The issue could have been due to a faulty sensor or clogged nozzles. Cleaning the nozzles was suggested as a potential solution. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by topping up the washer fluid, which cleared the warning light.

Where are the nozzles located, and how do I check them? Can I do it myself, or do I need special tools?

They're on the hood, pointing at the windshield. Use a needle or pin to clean them. That fixed it for me once. If that doesn't work, a workshop visit might be needed; it could be a defective pump.

Turns out the wiper water level was lower than I thought. Topping it up fixed the problem, and the light is gone. The repair cost 25€.

I had a similar issue with my SLC. Check if the nozzles are blocked. They can clog and cause problems even with a full reservoir. It's an easy thing to check before worrying about sensors.
