SM3 Audio System Failure
Summary of the thread
The 2019 Renault SM3 Electric's audio system has completely failed, with no sound from any source despite the screen functioning normally. The issue is not related to fuses, suggesting a deeper problem. A similar case involved a failed bass speaker causing the entire system to malfunction. The recommended solution is to have the system professionally diagnosed at a workshop.

The screen is working perfectly, it's just the audio that's completely gone. No sound whatsoever, even if I crank up the volume. I haven't tried the auxiliary input, to be honest. Would that really make a difference if the radio isn't working either? There was no sound distortion or any other weird behavior before it died.

Yeah, if the screen is fine, it's probably not a power issue to the whole unit. When mine went, I tried everything, and it turned out one of the bass speakers had failed and taken the whole system down. Best bet is to take it to a workshop, they'll be able to diagnose it properly. But it sounds very similar!

Thanks so much for the info! I was dreading taking it to a mechanic without any idea what was wrong. I will check auxiliary input and the other speakers but since there is absolutely no sound output I'll take it to the workshop. Your experience gives me a much better starting point. Cheers!

I had a similar issue with my SM3! Does the screen still work, or is it completely dead? In my case, the screen was working, but absolutely no audio. Did you check whether the auxiliary input is working properly, or is sound distorted in any way? Also, have you been experiencing any strange sound system behaviours before?
