SM3 Electric Battery Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Renault SM3 electric vehicle is experiencing battery issues, with symptoms including a drained battery, flickering lights, and error messages. The problem may be caused by a defective battery sensor, which can misinform the car about the battery's condition. The suggested solution is to have a workshop read the error codes and check the battery sensor, which, when replaced, resolved the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! I cleaned the battery terminals, but no luck. Still the same issues. I'm at 218499 km. What was the issue with yours, and how did you fix it? Any hints would be highly appreciated. How do you deal with error memory?

Okay, 218499 km is quite a bit. In my case, it ended up being a defective battery sensor. Apparently, it was giving the car wrong info about the battery's state, leading to all sorts of electrical gremlins. I tried to fix error memory by myself without result. I would recommend you go to a workshop to read the error codes, and let them check the battery sensor.

Thanks a million for your help! I took it to a shop, and you nailed it – faulty battery sensor! Repair cost was 315€. They replaced it, cleared the error codes, and everything's back to normal. I really appreciate the tip!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I also have an SM3, and I had similar symptoms last year. Weak battery, flickering lights... Drove me nuts! Have you checked the battery terminals for corrosion or looseness? Also, what kind of mileage are you at? Just curious if it's a wear-and-tear kinda thing.
