SM3 SRS Light Issue

Guys, need some help! My 2013 Renault SM3, gasoline engine, is giving me grief. The SRS light is blazing in the speedometer. I've checked under the seats for disconnected wires, but nothing jumps out. Anyone seen this before?

Yeah, that SRS light can be a pain. Before you panic, have you had any work done recently that might have involved disconnecting the battery or messing with any of the wiring under the dash? Sometimes a voltage spike can trigger it. Also, what's the mileage at? Could be a sensor starting to fail.

Mileage is 138421 km. No recent work, just regular maintenance. You think it's definitely a sensor issue? I was hoping it was just a loose plug somewhere. Is there any specific sensor I should be looking at?

Could be a sensor, or as you suspected, a dodgy connection. Given the mileage and symptoms, a likely culprit is a cable or plug connection of a component. A proper diagnostic scan with a tool that reads airbag system codes is the only way to know for sure, but I'd advise taking it to a workshop. Messing with the SRS without knowing what you're doing can be risky.

Thanks, man. I appreciate the advice. Bit the bullet and took it to a local shop. Turns out it was, like you said, a faulty connection. They fixed it for 95€. Happy to have it sorted!
