Sonic Key Fob Battery Issue

My 2013 Chevrolet Sonic with a gasoline engine is displaying a 'Key battery low' warning. The keyless access isn't working, there's an error message in the computer, and the remote is acting up. I think the key battery is dead. Anyone else seen this?

I drive a Chevy Sonic too. I had the same problems you describe. It started with the low battery warning, and then the key fob became useless.

What did you do to fix it? Did you do it yourself, or did you need a mechanic?

I brought the car to the workshop. They confirmed the issue and replaced the battery.

I took the car to a workshop like you suggested. The key fob battery was dead. They replaced it for 37€. The keyless access and remote are working now.
