Spider bumper antenna issue

I have a 1999 Renault Spider with a gasoline engine. My bumper antenna is causing issues. I'm getting an error stored in the memory, and the keyless entry isn't working. Also, I can't start the engine without the key in the ignition. Suspect a defective cable or plug. Anyone else had this? Is it worth fixing, as the repair cost is estimated at 95€?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my Spider. Check the antenna connections first. It's like when your TV signal goes bad because the cable's loose.

Where exactly should I be looking for these connections? Are they easy to access, or do I need to take the bumper apart?

Yeah, same symptoms. I ended up just taking it to a workshop. Saved me a bunch of time messing around. Probably the best bet in your case too.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I'll book it in for a checkup. At least I know what to expect now.
