Spider heating defrost issue

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 1998 Renault Spider (gasoline engine). The heating isn't working properly. The air isn't getting distributed to the defrost vents correctly, so the windshield keeps fogging up. The error memory says there's a problem with the defrost air distribution flap. The heating output is also too low. I've checked the dashboard panel as well as the blower motor, but everything seems visually okay. I suspect it might be the air circulation, but I can't figure out where the problem is in the HVAC unit. Any thoughts?

I had a similar problem with my Spider. Check the cable and plug connections to the distribution flap motor. That was the culprit for me. Is the blower motor working at all speeds, or is it weak?

Thanks for the tip! Where exactly is that motor located? Is it easy to get to without dismantling the whole dashboard? Also, the blower motor seems to work fine on all speeds. I noticed that the air temperature is really low.

It's buried pretty deep, unfortunately. You can try to reach it, but honestly, you're probably better off taking it to a workshop. It sounds like a cable or connection. If it's the motor itself, it might be time-consuming to replace it for a novice. It'll cost around 95€ to repair at the workshop.

Okay, thanks for your help! I'll take it to a mechanic then. Sounds like it's a bit beyond my capabilities. Hopefully, they can sort it out without too much fuss.
