I haven't heard any hissing I don't have a diagnostic tool myself If it is the bellows valve, is that something a moderately skilled DIYer could tackle, or am I better off taking it to a shop

Replacing the bellows valve itself isn't rocket science, but you're dealing with the air suspension system If you aren't experienced with those systems I would advise against trying to repair it yourself If you mess something up the repair cost could be far more than the cost of taking it to a shop in the first place Also, you need to depressurize the system correctly Better play it safe The error message in the speedometer and the bumpy ride confirm the problem The air leak is the main culprit, causing the faulty air suspension

I checked again for hissing and still couldn't hear anything, so I'm not sure where the air leak is Took it to a local shop, and they confirmed it was indeed the bellows valve on the air suspension 590€ later, it's all fixed Thanks again for your help

Sounds like a classic air leak Have you noticed any hissing sounds, especially after parking the van A leaning vehicle definitely points to one side losing air pressure It could well be the bellows valve Do you have access to a diagnostic tool to read the specific error code That might give you a more precise location of the problem Checking the air lines for obvious damage is also worth a shot They are part of the pneumatic suspension system
