Rich mixture, huh? Interesting. How did you determine it was the injectors? Did you get any specific error codes? I don't have a fancy OBD reader.

The check engine light gave me a code related to the oxygen sensor and fuel trim. I took it to a workshop. They did a proper diagnostic and confirmed it was indeed a defective injector. It was causing the engine to run rich and misfire. I strongly advise a workshop visit.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to my local mechanic, and you were right. It was a faulty injector. Cost me 515€ to get it sorted, but the Sprinter is running like new again. I appreciate the insight!

I had something similar happen on my Sprinter. Reduced engine power, check engine light, rough running... Sound familiar? I'd start by checking your oxygen sensor readings. If it's reporting a consistently rich mixture, even after the engine is warmed up, that could point to a faulty injector. Have you checked your spark plugs? A bad air-fuel ratio can foul them pretty quick.
