Sprinter Stalling Clutch Pedal Switch Suspected

Intermittent, definitely. Some days it's fine, others it's a total basket case. I haven't checked the voltage yet, but I did wiggle the plug a bit, and nothing obvious happened. Where exactly are these ground connections you're talking about? Is it something easy to spot?

The ground points are usually bolted to the chassis near the switch. Look for a bunch of wires connected to a single point. They can corrode over time, causing a poor connection. Since wiggling the plug didn't do anything, it might not be the immediate connector itself. Given all the symptoms you're seeing, and the fact that it's intermittent, it could still be the switch, but it's tough to say for sure without more thorough testing. A faulty clutch pedal switch will trigger a safety mechanism to prevent car starting, so that tracks. Honestly, for 95€, it might be worth just replacing the switch to rule it out, or taking it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis before throwing parts at it.

Appreciate the advice. Ended up taking it to a workshop. You were spot on, dodgy clutch pedal switch and a corroded connector. They replaced the switch and cleaned up the connection. Car starting like a charm now, gear selector is back, and cruise control works! 95€ well spent.

Sounds like a familiar headache. I had similar issues with my Sprinter. The gear selector going blank and cruise control failing are definitely symptoms I remember. Does it happen intermittently, or is it a constant problem? Have you checked the switch itself for any physical damage? It might be worth checking the voltage at the connector too, if you have a multimeter. Before you go ripping things apart, I'd also suggest you check the ground connections in that area. A bad ground can cause all sorts of weird electrical issues.
