Thanks for the detailed reply about the alarm control module replacement. The symptoms you described match my situation perfectly. I am relieved to hear it was fixable and not just my car acting up. The power failure and false alarms are quite concerning, especially since the security system is compromised. Did any other electrical issues pop up after getting it fixed? Also, do you recall roughly how much you paid for the complete repair including parts and labor? My local shops seem hesitant to tackle alarm system problems, so knowing the cost range would help me plan better.

Since getting the alarm control module replaced, everything has worked perfectly with no electrical problems at all. The optical locking signals with the indicators now function as intended and the security system is back to normal. Even the battery drain issues disappeared completely after the fix. The complete repair including parts, programming and labor came to exactly 45 Euro at my mechanic. This covered the full diagnostic work, coding the new module to integrate with the car anti-theft system, and testing all security functions. The price was fair considering the specialized equipment needed to properly program these modern car alarm systems. The immobilizer and all security features are working flawlessly for several months now. No more false alarm triggers or warning lights. Finding a shop with proper diagnostic capabilities was key, they understood how the various security components interact and could properly resolve the underlying issue rather than just treating symptoms. Really glad I got it fixed properly instead of trying cheaper alternatives. Having a fully functional anti-theft system provides good peace of mind.

I finally decided to tackle my alarm system issues and visited a specialized Audi workshop. After reading about similar experiences, I felt more confident knowing what to expect. The technician quickly identified the faulty alarm sensor and confirmed the failed control module was causing the battery issue. The diagnostic process was thorough and they clearly explained how the car alarm system integrates with other components. They found additional power failure symptoms I hadnt noticed. The complete repair took about 3 hours, including programming and testing all security features. The total cost came to 650 Euro, which included the new control module, programming, and labor. While not cheap, its worth having a properly functioning security system. The car now locks and unlocks with proper feedback, no more unusual alarms, and all warning lights are gone. For anyone facing similar issues, dont waste time with shops lacking proper diagnostic equipment. The peace of mind from having everything working correctly is worth finding the right specialist.

Had the same security alarm issue with my 2015 Audi S4. The immobilizer warning kept showing up and the optical locking signals stopped working completely. After thorough diagnostics, it turned out the central locking control module had failed, causing the false alarm triggers and disabled indicator flash confirmation. This was actually a serious issue requiring specialized attention. The control module communicates with multiple systems including the immobilizer and battery management. When it fails, the entire security system becomes compromised. The repair involved replacing the faulty control module and recoding it to sync with the car security system. A proper fix requires dealer-level diagnostic equipment to program the new module and clear all related fault codes. The battery issue also needed addressing since the failing module had been drawing excessive power. This is not something for general repair shops without proper diagnostic capabilities. The security system integrates deeply with the car electronics, requiring specific knowledge of Audi systems. The complete fix took about 4 hours at the workshop. The car alarm works flawlessly now, proper optical feedback during locking/unlocking and no more unusual security warnings.
